I'm in the market for aux lights, light bar, head lights upgrade. I got caught in the snow the other day and I couldn't see 10ft in front of the Jeep. I swore that it wasn't going to be an issue the rest of the season.
So, where to buy? I love quadratec but they only ship UPS which translate to huge broker fee.
Any suggestions? Past experience?
Let me know,
thanks,
Joel
Do what I do, have my parts shipped to calais and go pick them up. Usually make a day of it and do some other shopping.
National 4wd has online shopping, also there is Jansams, and they are local to you :)

Most of the local dealers like JanSams or Carquest can bring stuff in for you from the catalogs. Less fuss, no duty.

I'll try Jansam. The lights I want are 142$ at Quadratec. At National4wd, they are 212$ + shipping + tx, which comes up to 280$. Seems a bit excessive if you ask me....
Where do you get them shipped in Calais?
Try www.northridge4x4.com free shipping over $100 and send it to C&E Feeds in Calais (they accept packages for a small fee depending on size) No duty just regular tax when you cross border just like anything you'd buy in NB.

We also have other sponsors you can check out. Just look them up in the sponsor section. I would try them before you buy online.
I have them sent to the hardware store in Calais. Like it has been said, there is a small fee per package...worth it though

Have you looked on Kijiji? I picked up a brand new lightbar for my YJ for something like $80

huh, looks like Jansam may have some of the stuff I wanted like the Delta Xenon headlight upgrade.
I sent them an email saying it was your idea and that I was also in the Jeep club. :-D
Thanks Paul.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep this in mind if I absolutely have to order from the States.

New site out of Quebec.. canam4x4.com, Jansam Shediac Bridge, Action Truck Caps Main St., National4wd in Freddy...
I check prices online and then call Ultimateoffroad.ca. They are usually right on par with what I see online. Then I don't have to worry about having anything shipped or how much it will come up to once everything is done. Plus you have service afterward if something goes wrong.
If the club sponsors don't have what you want another option is JC Whitney. Yeah I know... but: I recently needed spacers for my wife's truck so I could put her winter tires on without rubbing: best price I could get on PEI was $200+tax. Shopped online everywhere in Canada I could find. Cheapest I found was in New Brunswick on clearance but they wanted $100 just to *ship* two sets to PEI. WTF?
JC Whitney had them to my door for $150 all in and FAST shipping. Rough Country 1.5". Not bad.

Is there any sites in Canada that sell Jeep clothing and swag??
I want to get this for Cindy for Xmas http://www.allthingsjeep.com/bnd-purse.html but can't seem to find it in Canada which means UPS which I refuse to pay a brokerage fee, I found one place in the States that will send it USPS but I fear there isn't enough time to get it here before Xmas...
Anyone know anywhere??
As for the original post, if you can't find it locally try northridge4x4.ca they only charge Alberta sales tax and free shipping over $100. fast and efficient service, we've ordered lots of stuff and it gets here fast and as cheap as you will find it...
Cheers!

I've always bought from National 4wd and find the prices are fair. What is on their website is crazy high but when you call or go the price is normally very fair to what it would cost to order from the states, ship it and pay tax. It is nice having a local rep because if you get a part that breaks or the wrong part you normally save time and money on the return.
I do order from 4wd.com sometimes but I get employee pricing for the work I do on Jeepsunlimited.com
