Hello all. I have been collecting photos from various run postings throughout the year and am almost ready to complete the 2011 calendars. If any member has a photo of their jeep that they would like in the calendar, please e-mail it to me at terjet@rogers.com. Please do not post the photo here or PM me, as I am seldom on the site. The photo should be at least 600 x 800 pixels so it will not be too small to see in the final calendar.
Calendars will be available first at the Christmas party and then at the Moncton M&Gs afterwards. Area reps will be sent some for selling in their area. A sample will be posted for viewing once it has been completed.
Thanks folks,
Monica

ahhhhh.. the importance of of punctuation.. :D
1. THE FATAL COMMA
Czarina Maria Fyodorovna once saved the life of a man by transposing a single comma in a warrant signed by her husband, Alexander III, which exiled a criminal to imprisonment and death in Siberia. On the bottom of the warrant the czar had written: `Pardon impossible, to be sent to Siberia.' The czarina changed the punctuation so that her husband's instructions read: `Pardon, impossible to be sent to Siberia.' The man was set free.

2. THE BLASPHEMOUS COMMA
In several editions of the King James Bible, Luke 23:32 is changed entirely by the absence of a comma. In the passage that describes the other men crucified with Christ, the erroneous editions read: `And there were also two other malefactors.' Instead of counting Christ as a malefactor, the passage should read: `And there were also two other, malefactors.'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. THE MILLION-DOLLAR COMMA
The US government lost at least a million dollars through the slip of a comma. In the tariff act passed on June 6, 1872, a list of duty-free items included: `Fruit plants, tropical and semitropical'. A government clerk accidentally altered the line to read: `Fruit, plants tropical and semitropical'. Importers successfully contended that the passage, as written, exempted all tropical and semitropical plants from duty fees. This cost the US a fortune until May 9, 1874, when the passage was amended to plug the hole.

Sorry it was the way I read it, it seem as if you where telling her NO Thanks On the Calanders, and as for the typing sometimes my hands go faster then they should on here, and I never think to proof read anything. Sorry for the Misunderstanding. Has been a long few days and was a bit tired when I read it.
Paul you have a PM

Aww... Thanks Annette :o
I have now completed the calendars and am in the process of printing them off. Our machine isn't as new as it was and doesn't produce quite the quality it did in past years, but they are still pretty good. Perhaps the executive will opt to lower the price on them this year, given the less than perfect quality. In any case, the important thing is that we get to see our jeeps and our friends's jeeps in their natural element. :D
I am not taking pre-orders this year, but have opted to print a fixed amount, so that the invoice may be issued before my company's year end. As such, it will be first come - first served. No worries though, there will be enough to go around.
Here is a link to preview what the calendar looks like. Enjoy!
